Welcome to The year carries the vibration of Planet Jupiter in the sense that it adds up to a numerological value of 3. For most part of the year, Jupiter remains in the sign of Scorpio owned by its friend Mars.
One can expect great developments in the new knowledge, cutting edge growth led by new discoveries and innovations and learning. But for most part there could be an element of surprise or secrecy to it. Rapid strides in technology using artificial intelligence, new techniques in medicine and surgery or development of new weaponry and warfare methods are possible. From the month of March, Saturn remains conjunct with Ketu in the sign of Sagittarius. Many an organisation may witness overhauling of structures, difficult equation among the hierarchies — imbalance of power centres as there is difficulty in getting along.
The world order may change dramatically with the steadfast and change averse Saturn and the harbinger of evolution Ketu who residing together from March onwards. The year promises to be a year of possibilities for the Scorpio born individuals. Things get progressively well as time goes by. You have only one more year left to finish the Sade Sati period. The fatigue and frustration of having faced so much difficulty previously could be taking its toll through. What you need to realise is that it will take only a tad bit more of perseverance and this too shall pass.
There could be some worry about protecting your reputation also. Later half of the year may bring a significant opportunity for growth. You may initiate a whole new chapter in life, embracing new idea or a new philosophy. Last quarter of the year may signal the beginning of a really good spell as Jupiter enters your 2nd house bringing good luck. The year begins on a fairly promising note compared to the last year.
You may see a glimmer of opportunity and hope with new avenues for growth opening up and along with that, your own outlook to be changing. You may be a lot more mature now. Also there is a palpable desire not get stuck in the vortex of bitterness and resentment - to move forward, irrespective of what is the storm other people would like to stir up! From the start of the country, we have the likes of John Jay. Mid-century we had the obvious case that never made it as far as an election of Bobby Kennedy. More recently we have, for example, Howard Dean and John Kerry plus VP Biden, who was a failed presidential nominee that then got the VP nod, and isn't expected to have any greater success in later campaigns.
Dean and Biden are fabulous examples of speaking their mind boldly a trait Kerry doesn't share - add Gov. Christie to that list with his Scorpio Moon. Moon-sign for the same sign. A friend of mine, who is one of the leading female litigators in the country, has a Scorpio Moon. These say more about the human acculturated mind in general than it says about the Scorpios. A lot of Mars traits are villainized in the modern world as it is dominated by hypocritical "slave morality". I do not mean to say that Scorpio Sun or Moon people are bad in any way. I think most care about other people a lot but it seems to come more from just feeling that way about someone as opposed from a moral standpoint. I think they are amoral at heart.
As Nietzsche Scorpio Moon and ASC might put it, the individual's wants are stronger than society's laws and the body is far realer than any abstraction like philosophy, law, or morals. In reading this thread here I wanted to say that in my own life, in how I relate with others and how others relate to me, I have had huge challenges because I am very forceful, strong willed, challenging, deep but seductive, attractive and captivating.
I see these as fantastic qualities which have gifted me with deep insight into my own nature and human nature in general.
It does mean though that I also repel away anybody who is not willing, not capable of coping with my brutally honest ways of expressing myself and my perceptions. Which means I get a lot of men sniffing around but who won't be able to engage me in any type of a real relationship, one of depth and character. I personally think that I am obe of the kindest most selfless people around. I volunteer, do lots of community service, help my family all the time, actively participate in causes to help women and children and environmental issues. I am thoughtful and cobciderate of others feelings and often bit my tounge because I have an understanding that most people are wrapped up in themselves so much that they can't hear my insights and that it would be unsettling to them to receive my deep reflected analogies and metaphors I do have an aspect of my persoba though that is tough as nails, severe and some may say cruel.
Death is a blessing for some I think, and some fools need to have there head wacked with the reality stick. I am not squeamish, and while I might look like a cute little innocent girlie girl I am profient in self defense and warfare tactics, weapons and strategy. I don't know for sure how my scorpioness compares with someone who has it for a sun sign, and I am sure my ascendant has much to do with my childlike innocent nature, playful happy, kind, loving, hospitable I tend to believe the more planets one has in Scorpio the stronger and assertive one is?
While my sun is in Libra, moon in Scorpio and mars in Gemini I do identify much more with my Libra sun. The angular Jupiter is my savior I think. In general my friends tell me that I am strong but that it would benefit me to be more assertive. That is indeed how it feels. Introverted but only in public. Not extroverted at all unless comfortable They all talk down about people they know and don't know. They have all said things directly to my face usually along the lines of a "you don't know how to Always subjective though.
And they all have interrupted me consistently during conversations usually rudely and especially with woman. They are all jealous types. They don't share emotions much and when they do it seems unemotional but very deeply real to them. Big on experiences. The men don't try pick up woman, at least apparently, or even initiate flirtation.
Selective in practice but they all obsess and crush on the same person for extended periods of time. The woman aren't exactly feminine stereotypically or masculine but usually sexy in movement and voice. Maybe come off as teases but mostly just competitive and jealous or trying to make one jealous.
Direct in bed, assume the position types. Controlling, dominance. But not anything goes. From my experience anyways. Hot skin to the touch. They all explode at times directly at me about past built up things. They all hold things in until red in the face. They haven't held grudges against me at least. They need space when they need it and you will know.
They are all assertive if they want something. Strong willed.
Actions are easy but they aren't terribly athletic or physically enduring. Not in good physical shape. More sprinters than marathon runners. More specialized with a specific area like shot put, discuss, pitching, quarterback, golf, dancing, yoga. They all say things like social or political aphorisms and come off as experts while doing so but when you contradict them they aren't good at a follow up response.
Not objective more subjective. Not intellectuals but don't need to be to get where they're going. More scientific- Biology, Genetics, physical therapy. Artistic- drawing, painting, arts and crafts but not really original or creative. Bad at theory and concepts. Strong tolerance of drugs. Can drink forever almost without changing them. Can all eat allot too but get full fast. Binge eaters and drinkers. Gain and loose weight easily.
Not sympathetic or compassionate but can be generous with giving- but not sharing. We all get along relatively well for the most part. Easy to tolerate.
Not loud, annoying or obnoxious to me. Not easy to fault or judge. Solid and steady but not terribly reliable. Fun but not entertaining. Don't make excuses or escape because they don't put themselves in that situation.
This thesis on the definition and transmission of the zodiac is concerned with the original specification of the zodiac, i. Thereby these two stars define the central axis of the zodiac, which was the primary zodiacal reference axis for all other stars. Between the fifth and the third centuries B. It is unknown through whom the innovation leading to the introduction of the zodiacal coordinate system into Babylonian astronomy took place.
It was made possible by the observation of the heavens as a systematic program carried out over hundreds of years, and it is an astonishing fact of the history of science that this systematic observation of the night sky was executed by Babylonian astronomers over many centuries. In the last analysis my thesis on the history of the zodiac pays tribute to those unknown astronomers who kept records of their observations and were able on this basis to arrive at the innovation of the ecliptic coordinate system of the zodiac, which was central to the whole subsequent development of astronomy as a science.
The original contribution of my thesis to the history of astronomy is the uncovering of the intrinsic definition of the Babylonian sidereal zodiac. This definition is intrinsic, because it is nowhere explicitly stated in the available cuneiform sources. Observation of the starry heavens reveals that the twelve zodiacal constellations with the exception of Libra are distributed such that their centers lie approximately thirty degrees from one another, and in the case of the constellations of Taurus and Scorpio their centers are marked by the bright stars Aldebaran and Antares.
This original definition of the zodiac of the Babylonians in the fifth century B. Babylonian mathematical astronomy reached a highpoint during the Seleucid era third and second centuries B. However, although the Greek astronomer Hipparchus adopted some Babylonian astronomical parameters, he effectively redefined the zodiac when, rather than utilizing the Babylonian sidereal zodiac, he used instead the tropical zodiac defined by the vernal point as the starting point of the zodiac, thus abandoning the sidereal zodiac defined in relation to the stars.
In his Commentary on the Phaenomena of Aratus and Eudoxus Hipparchus used a variety of coordinate systems, but he did not use the ecliptic coordinate system of the tropical zodiac in this work. The evidence that Hipparchus used the tropical zodiac as a coordinate system is inconclusive. There is also the statement by Columella first century C.
Thus the tropical zodiac is the standard astronomical coordinate system used in the second century C. However, given the shift of emphasis effected by the Greek astronomers Hipparchus and Ptolemy from the sidereal to the tropical frame of reference — a shift that still holds good for computational purposes to the present day — the question arises as to whether there is a suitable modern astronomical method of specifying an adequate definition of the ancient sidereal zodiac of the Babylonians?
However, from the vantage point of modern astronomy, there is a problem with this intrinsic definition of the Babylonian sidereal zodiac in relation to the stars Aldebaran and Antares. The problem is this: since the fixed stars are subject to proper motion, they display small changes in relation to one another over thousands of years, and thus no single star or pair of stars can be chosen to define the entire zodiac. Is it nevertheless possible to find an astronomical basis for a modern definition of the ancient Babylonian sidereal zodiac? One way would be to define the Babylonian sidereal zodiac in relation to the vernal point for a specified point in time, for example, the epoch In fact, I found that if the vernal point for the epoch It would seem that Hipparchus probably introduced the tropical zodiac into Greek astronomy.
What is definitely known about the tropical zodiac is that it is the standard ecliptic coordinate system that was used by Ptolemy in the second century C. In the following, this definition of the Babylonian sidereal zodiac in relation to the vernal point for the epoch Once having determined the location of the vernal point in the Babylonian sidereal zodiac for any moment in time allowing for precession before or after the epoch This can be considered as a compromise solution for defining the Babylonian zodiac, but in lieu of finding something better, at the present time it appears to be a suitable definition of this zodiac in terms of modern astronomy.
Let us now examine to what extent this modern astronomical definition is in harmony with the original Babylonian definition. Table 1 Prior to B.
